Event information
Take part in a series of workshops at the Museum and learn all about the Household Cavalry!
There will be two sessions running throughout the day.
Morning session: 10:00am-12:00pm
Afternoon session: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Tickets for this event are not timed, so you can drop in at any point during the sessions and spend as long or as little as you would like in the museum.
Children will be given a ‘regimental passport’ at the beginning of their visit and they must earn all the stamps to become a ‘Future Trooper’ by taking part in a series of workshops.
The workshops will give children the opportunity to handle pieces of authentic Household Cavalry uniform, learn all about the dual-role of the Household Cavalry through our ‘Camo Lab’, practice real military drills and even showcase their detective skills with out ‘Decode the Dispatch’ trail.
The workshop is included in standard ticket admissions.

Workshops
‘Polished to Perfection’: Ever wondered what it takes to get the uniforms of the Household Cavalry in perfect condition? Come and join our hands on workshop, where you will be able to polish authentic pieces of Household Cavalry uniforms, whilst learning all about the detail that goes into maintaining the kit and uniforms of the Household Cavalry.
‘Camo Lab’: Learn about the dual role of the Household Cavalry in our exclusive ‘camo lab’. Take part in an arts and crafts activity, try on uniforms and explore artefacts from our object handling collection.
‘Decode the Dispatch’: Take part in our exclusive museum trail, decoding secret messages and solving military puzzles!
‘Drill Square’: Re-enact real Household Cavalry drills like a real Household Cavalry soldier. Once you have completed all the workshops, you are ready to become a ‘Future Trooper’.
