Event information

Step into the boots of a Household Cavalry trooper and get creative at the Household Cavalry Museum! In this hands-on craft activity, young visitors can design and make their very own cavalry helmet, inspired by the iconic headgear worn by the King’s mounted soldiers.

Along the way, they’ll learn a little about the history and traditions of the Household Cavalry and what makes their uniforms so distinctive. There’s no extra cost, it’s free for everyone who wants to join in the fun!

Once complete, every child can take home their helmet – ready for parade, play, or display!
